Group Medical Insurance
Group Medical Insurance
Increasingly, employers recognise the importance of a healthy workforce and utilising private medical insurance to minimise absenteeism and maximise profitability. Many medical problems can develop into something far more serious, requiring longer recovery period and absence.
Private Medical Insurance ensures prompt access to treatment and the convenience of being able to choose where, when and with whom you have your treatment privately.
- Staff who are unwell have frequent and lengthy absences and normally do not work to their best ability with a resultant affect on the company's performance, and a potential loss of profit. Private Medical Insurance is one of the few staff benefits that actually works for the employer by ensuring access to treatment at a time and place convenient to both employer and employee.
- A recent survey has indicated that the average cost of group privatemedical insurance is less than 1.5% of payroll, significantly less than its perceived cost and the value of benefits obtained. The provision of Private Medical Insurance will boost your employees' morale and improve your company's performance. Employers generally recognise and accept "low cost group private medical insurance" as a valuable cost-effective means of enhancing the employee benefits package and a useful aid to the recruitment and retention of high calibre employees committed to the company's continued success.
Minimum requirements
Your company can start a company-paid scheme with just one person. "One-Man" corporate schemes are particularly cost effective for sole traders. The only requirement is that you must pay the premium through a business bank account.
Transferring existing schemes
If you currently have private medical insurance with another insurer, we are able to consider transferring your membership by continuing your employees' existing personal medical exclusions subject to the acceptance of the underwriters.
